For Ashlyn and Nedim's summer engagement session, we headed to the lakeshore. The variety this location offers makes it unique with multiple backdrops all in one place. From wooded trails to grassy sand dunes to the beautiful beach, it's always a big hit for couples' sessions. I was beyond excited when they requested the sand dunes/lakeshore for their engagements and couldn't be more pleased with the results!
We started out walking along the wooded trails for a more casual and relaxed vibe. Then, after a quick outfit change, we headed down to the beach for golden hour. When we first started shooting, I had no idea they were still in the market for a wedding photographer. They hadn't mentioned it throughout the session. To my surprise, they decided to contract me to capture their wedding day after their experience with me! I was so honored to have earned their trust as a photographer enough to capture their big day.
These two have been together for 7 years and right off the bat, you could tell just how comfortable they are with each other. As with every couple's session, my goal is to capture the essence of their relationship in a natural and authentic way, and these two made it easy. It was obvious how in love they are and I couldn't be more excited for their wedding next summer!
