From the historic cottage-core venue to the lush greenery and sentimental details, Abby and Grant's classy garden wedding at Felt Estate Mansion was an experience to remember. Together with Holden Michael Events, and the talented team of vendors their vision of an effortlessly romantic wedding day came to life.
Morning Details & Getting Ready
Out of all the details of the day, Abby's wedding gown was a major highlight. The fitted silhouette and embellished off-the-shoulder sleeves were so unique and beautiful. She opted for a sleek low bun with pearls and natural makeup for her bridal look. Abby made sure to include her mom and sister in every special moment throughout the day from putting on her wedding dress to first-look photos and everything in between.
Wedding Gifts
Abby and Grant wanted to follow tradition and wait to see each other until the ceremony. Instead, they exchanged gifts beforehand. Grant gave Abby the sweetest framed photo of the ballgame seats they sat in during their first date. Everyone in the room was in tears at how creative and thoughtful a gift this was! He also wrote Abby's parents a personalized letter that clearly meant the world to them. Grant's kindness and consideration for Abby and her family throughout the whole day made it even more special.
First Looks
After opening gifts, Abby did a first look with her dad and grandpa. Both were so precious and emotional for Abby and her family, the photos speak for themselves! I always encourage brides to do a first look with close family members whether that's a parent, sibling, grandparent, etc. They are priceless. You will never regret having tangible memories of those that mean the most to you!
Bridal Party
Abby and Grant had an all-star bridal party with 7 bridesmaids and 8 groomsmen who were supportive and acted as their personal hype squad! Each bridesmaid wore a unique, neutral satin dress with matching white floral bouquets. They all looked absolutely stunning and were so much fun to work with.
Ceremony
The classy garden ceremony took place outside the white chapel at Shore Acres. This is one of my absolute favorite venues for its simple beauty and timeless country vibe. The long walk down from the main house creates buzzing anticipation for the groom and the guests and draws out the moment for the bride. Grant and Abby exchanged beautiful vows before officially being pronounced husband and wife.
Portraits
One of the happiest moments of the day is when Grant and Abby's dog Brucey showed up for photos! He was absolutely adorable and put a smile on everyone's face. If you're considering bringing your dog to your wedding, this is your sign!
Reception
The reception was held under the venue's white tent. Greenery was the main character with garland-lined ceilings and florals on every table. The classy black-and-white palette and garden theme was complimented by tons of natural light pouring in from every angle. The live band made the atmosphere even more luxurious and inviting.
After touching speeches, dinner, and the cutting of the cake, Abby and Grant celebrated the rest of the evening on the dance floor with their guests, sneaking away for a few photos at golden hour. Overall, Abby and Grant's wedding was as dreamy as they come and I am so grateful to have been able to capture it for them.
